STOP WHAT YOU’RE DOING: BACON WEEK IS BACK!

Bacon Week is back for its third edition! From September 1st to 9th, Quartier DIX30 will be hosting this unique event that celebrates everyone’s favourite salty treat. This year, 15 foodie destinations had fun with bacon and created exclusive dishes that will leave you wanting more. And more, and more.

ALLÔ MON COCO

DELUXE GRILLED CHEESE

Allô Mon Coco takes the oh so comforting grilled cheese to the next level with a true breakfast of champions. Inside this tasty sandwich: warm apples, bacon, brie cheese and arugula, topped with a balsamic vinegar reduction. And to make us even weaker at the knees: a fruit bowl and a breakfast poutine filled with bacon and hollandaise sauce as the perfect companions to this mouth-watering meal.

BALTHAZAR

BACON TARTE TATIN

At Balthazar, the classic Tatin get revisited, as apples get swapped by bacon. A lot of bacon. A humongous amount of bacon.

Inside this dessert to share – or to eat alone, for the brave ones! – pork cheeks, smoked pork belly, green apples, caramel and Red Sashes-flavoured chocolate make a mighty combo. And to cool things up a little: a scoop of bacon ice cream and walnuts.

FIVE GUYS

FIVE GUYS

BACON MILKSHAKE

Last year’s big success is back for the third edition! Five Guys takes things up a notch with a sweet-and-salty beverage that is the stuff of dreams. Featuring maplewood-smoked bacon and topped with a delectable dollop of whipped cream, this new take on the classic shake is a great way to celebrate the wonder that is Bacon Week!

JACK SALOON

BACON OYSTERS

Now, that’s a new take on Surf and Turf! Jack Saloon combines the best of sea and land with grilled oysters done in their kamado, filled with a bacon-infused butter and topped with smoked gouda and parmesan, parsley bacon bits and a slightly spicy candied bacon. And to make sure you get the full bacon experience: bacon chips on the side.

JULIETTE ET CHOCOLAT

BACON BROWNIE

Last year’s chocolatey success is back for Bacon Week’s third edition! This heavenly mix of 55% dark chocolate and caramelized bacon is guaranteed to deliver 100% bliss. Indulge your sweet tooth on Juliette et Chocolat’s charming terrace or inside the equally delightful restaurant. You won’t regret it…

LES 3 BRASSEURS

HAWAIIAN BURGER

No need to take the plane: this 3 Brasseurs burger will make you travel to the tropics for a fraction of the cost! Hawaiian flavours are being celebrated in this colourful dish, as caramelized pineapple sits on top of a juicy beef patty with Swiss cheese, Sriracha sauce and maple syrup candied bacon. Sit back, relax, and get into the Hawaiian vibe.

LES GLACEURS

BACON LECHE CUPCAKE

Don’t get fooled by its small size: there big flavours in this delicious Les Glaceurs cupcake! For this year’s Bacon Week, treat yourself with a sweet and salty delicacy that is both scrumptious and super pretty. Creamy and dreamy dulce de leche sits inside this chocolate cupcake, which fits perfectly with its cream cheese and dulce de leche frosting. And to top things off on a high note: crispy candied bacon bites that make us shiver.

MILE PUBLIC HOUSE

BACON POUTINE

At Mile Public House, our star ingredient is slowly cooked, so that those crispy and yummy parts are the only thing left. In this festive poutine, render bacon cubes are mixed with fries topped with a maple and shallots red wine sauce, bacon jam, fried shallots and spicy jalapenos. A transcending mix of flavours that will surely leave you wanting another round…

Mr. PUFFS

BACON PUFFS, FOUR WAYS

Why create only one bacon-filled recipe when you can make four? To pay homage to our star ingredient, Mr Puffs plays with it in four versions: two salty, two sweet.

For those who can’t resist a good salty meal: the Bacon “Pufftine”, a remastered version of this foodie classic, or the bacon cheese dip Puffs, which remind us of late-night nachos.

For those with a sweet tooth, make way for the Maple Bacon Puffs as well as the Choco Bacon ones. DE-CA-DENT.

NIJI SUSHI BAR

BAC-CALLOPS

Niji Sushi Bar proposes a plate where ocean and earth cohabit in an intriguing, yet scrumptious way. While scallops are at the center of attention, a crispy and salty bacon crumble adds the perfect complement to their tenderness. And talk about an exquisite surprise: to shake things up a little, bacon ice cream sits right next to this delightful dish.

OASIS SURF

BEEF AND BACON TACOS

Oasis Surf’s Le Turf Restaurant celebrates flavours and textures with its spicy beef and bacon tacos. A perfect combo of beef strips, pineapple and bacon ketchup, guacamole, jerk and rhum bacon, and the Quebec-made Smokeshow spicy sauce. Pickled onions and vegetables sit near, to add even more colour to this exquisite dish.

PORTOVINO

NAGANO PORK CHOP

Portovino promises a meal fit for a king, which showcases a high-quality pork like no other… The savoury and juicy Nagano pork is this plate’s star, while scrumptious maple syrup caramelized bacon adds a decadent touch. And to complete this flavourful feast: maple syrup Porto Demi-Glace, garlic mashed potatoes and garden vegetables.

SCORES

CHICKEN AND BACON NACHOS

Score’s plate is an ode to those summer days spent on terraces, as it is warm and savoury. Here, its crispy nachos are topped with chicken breast pieces covered with the restaurant’s famous ribs sauce, melted cheddar cheese, a delicious Pico de Gallo, and bacon. A lot of bacon.

SIAM

SLOW ROASTED PORK BELLY

Get ready for bacon, the Thailand way! Siam makes us travel straight to Orient with its crispy-yet-tender slow roasted pork belly with green curry, served with papaya salad, Hoisin sauce and Jasmine rice. And to make the most out of this exotic experience: indulge in this delicious meal while relaxing on their second-floor terrace.

ZIBO!

DUCK CONFIT AND BACON POUTINE

Local flavours triumph in Zibo!’s Bacon Week dish. The traditional poutine gets quite the makeover, with the help of duck confit, a veal stock, cream and bacon sauce, caramelized onions and, of course, a great load of bacon strips.
