The 1,000 KM of the Grand défi Pierre Lavoie stops by the Quartier DIX30
A colourful program awaits you
On June 16th, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., you are invited to come and cheer for the 1,000 cyclists of the Grand défi Pierre Lavoie (GDPL). The cyclists will depart from the Complexe sportif Bell for the last stretch of their 1,000 KM journey towards the Olympic Stadium.
The City of Brossard, Quartier DIX30 and the Complexe sportif Bell pulled at all the stops to unveil an outdoors program to entertain the audience and encourage the GDPL cyclists. Let’s recall they are cycling to raise funds to support medical research on orphan diseases and to finance projects that promote a healthy lifestyle.
Join the cyclists for a pre-departure celebration with live music by Tupi Collective, Zuruba, and Bombolessé. Aside from these musical contributions, two unique performances, presented by the City of Brossard, will without a doubt amaze young and old.
- Flying through the air! – A spectacular, elevated performance by the Cirque Carpe Diem. This troop’s multidisciplinary artists have taken part in over 500 special events since the circus’ creation in 2006.
- Human flags – Dominic Lacasse and his wife Karen Goudreault put their talent together to create this breath-taking number that’s been touring internationally. A performance of strength, skilfulness, and artistic sensibility not to be missed!
